Who's Meeting World?!

If you haven't heard there is a new idea in the Wonderful World of Disney.  They own Star Wars!  Ok ok but that is actually not what I'm talking about.  I'm talking about the new TV Show Disney is planning.  Girl Meets World.

Suddenly - you flash back to your childhood.  Sitting on the couch with a PB&J (crusts cut off of course) on a Friday night.  Teen Angel just ended and you are loving the line-up.  Up next a story of a young boy, his trailer trash friend and soulmate . . . . what is this magical show that gives you delight, joy and teaches a lesson?
Boy. Meets. World.

This is a familiar memory.  In our family it was a weekly occurrence followed by the line we are all familiar with coming from out dear mother: "You Watch WAY too much TV". And we did.  Still when the seventh season ended and we said goodbye to our beloved TV Show it was bittersweet.  An amazing finale, an amazing show.  We didn't know what to do with ourselves.  What to watch, where to learn life lessons?  What about our kids?  How were we going to teach them all the things we learned from BMW?  Well that question may have been answered with this announcement?  Or will it.  First things first.  I think we need a pro-con list of what this show could mean.  If it's good it could be really good. But . . .

Pros
Pretty sure Ben Savage and Danielle Fischer will star as the girl's parents.
New opportunities to see the world through a girl's eyes and hilarity as Cory has to see his little girl grow up
Same hilarious dialogue
Same company making it.
Creator is  involved as he signed the Pilot deal!
Since it's been so long chances are it's not as much about making more money as it is about pleasing the fans of the show.

Cons
No word that Rider Strong or Will Friedle will be on the show.  Boy Meets World without Shawn and Eric would be the worst!
How many spin-offs have failed in our lifetime?  Many.
New Disney is not the same as old Disney!  We had Even Stevens, they have . . . um . . . stupid shows (sorry I'm not with the Disney times right now)
New issues.  How do they teach lessons these days?  I'm pretty sure they covered them all in BMW what could GMW teach us?  Would they get too controversial?
Who do you get to play their child?  I mean there aren't as many amazing child actors these days.  I don't wanna see anyone less than the best for this role.
They have too much baggage.  Boy Meets World was great because it was fresh original stories.  Will this be just a copy-cat?

I don't know guys I just don't know.  I don't want the spin-off to ruin everything I knew and loved.  I want it to be quality because that's what Boy Meets World was!  It was happy, fun, really funny humour and I just don't know if they can do that again.  What do you think!?

One Month, A Zillion Shows, So Much Time to Waste

It's almost here people!  That week we've been waiting for.  The Fall Season is about to begin!  Well, we do have some time to kill but I've been getting more excited by the minute!  Each time a snippet of information comes out I get more and more excited.  The will-they-might-they couples, the shows that could potentially end and/or fail this season.  The shows that left cliff-hanger-like and the shows that of course ended with a bang (take this how you will).  So what now?  Well lets talk first about the rundown of that first week of shows then go through and remember where we left off.  Everything I've been looking at so far has been supporting these days.

Monday: How I Met Your Mother & Castle
Tuesday: NCIS, NCIS: LA & New Girl
Wednesday: Modern Family

Always - Castle

Wow!  Ok ok ok ok I'm fine everyone.  I'm fine.  NBD.  It's all going to be ok.  It is,  ok.  Here we go.

Castle and Beckett are finally, after 4 seasons, together!  It's big news!  Kinda the biggest (or at least until Tony and Ziva get together).  I could bore you all with the facts of the mother's case but would you really want, or expect me too?  No so let's get to the important scenes.

Castle: Endure

We're almost there folks!  Yes it's that happy/sad/frustrating time of year when the spring finale's start taking place and we have to endure the long summer hiatus.  It's never fun and you have to rebound to your summer shows: You know the ones I mean.  The ones that you watch only to keep your TV side in line while you wait for the good stuff to come back in the fall.  Mine include things like, Rookie Blue, The Bachelorette, and So You Think You Can Dance.  BUT, before we get to the sadness and woe we get . . . the finales.  And if there is one finale that is being anticipated this season it is definitely Castle.  If you've been sticking around the world of Castle or Emily Landeen you know pretty much everything that's been going on but if you've been "hiding under a stupid rock" I'll give a quick recap (pictures included of course).

47 Seconds Promos

So basically the episode of Castle this week was really lame so we're not going to talk about it.  Instead we're going to talk about the promo for next week!  And What better way to do it than with freeze frames.

The Unknown

NCIS: Secrets

Woo hoo!  Episode 201!  We are on our way now aren't we!?  It was back to business for NCIS Tuesday night as a new episode entitled Secrets was aired and as with most NCIS episodes this was multi-layered.  Between the secret identities of some and the secrets others were keeping hidden from friends this was an episode to remember.  The main secrets of the episode (besides the case that no one cares about anyway) was that of one Very Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo.  His ex-fiance Wendy returned.  This girl is one fiesty creature.  A Journalist who does whatever it takes to get her story it is unclear why Wendy is back.  Everyone on the team is curious however, especially one Ziva David.  When she meets Wendy there is definitely some looks that transpire, especially from Ziva's end.  So let's go through this.  I'll begin with the Tiva scenes and then talk about some fun stuff about the case.

Castle: Meet the first Nikki

There is nothing I like more in this whole world of television (except a great Tiva sexual tension moment of course) than a Castle two parter!  It began back in season 2 with Tick Tick Tick and Boom!  I mean they blew up Beckett's apartment!  Then season 3 had a two parter that made Beckett and Castle realize some very important aspects of their relationship.  They almost froze to death in each others arms and almost got blown up!  So history tells us they don't take their two parters lightly.  It helps that they always have a great guest star in these episodes.  This one began no different.

NCIS - Life would have been worse for everyone!

Cote de Pablo (L-R) Actors Brian Dietzen, David McCallum, Pauley Perrette, Mark Harmon, Sean Murray (backrow)Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly pose at CBS' "NCIS" celebration of thier 200th episode on January 3, 2012 in Valencia, California.Well that is it.  NCIS has officially broken the 200 episode barrier.  We've seen everything it seems over the years.  Team members have experienced betrayal, love, anger, rescue, regret, and even at times death.  It's been a roller coster for those of us who have followed every episode from the start Yankee White then the real start of Kill Ari and made it to this point: Life Before His Eyes.  This episode took everything in and made something of it.

Let's face it.  The main character of this show is Very Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.  He is the spine of the team.  Without him they are jellyfish.  I think we've all felt that connection to Gibbs as we've seen him lose loved ones, kill enemies, and grow into the father he is to this team.  While we (especially me) lose track of him, getting involved in other characters stories it is important to bring him back to the front.  This episode took all the pieces of Gibbs and put them into an order that really meant something.  I want to go through those chronologically and talk about why they were meaningful in the episode.

Where is your Hart?

No new NCIS OR Castle this week?  What is a girl to do??  Well luckily I'm a woman of many loves in the television world so I decided to post on another show that has captured my eyes and my Hart.  I know what you're thinking right now.  Why did Emily just spell heart wrong.  Well . . . let's get into that.

Over Christmas while I was NCIS marathoning with our cousin Erin she mentioned a new show she was watching called "Hart of Dixie".  She mentioned it had Rachel Bilson from the OC (among other guest roles How I Met Your Mother, Chuck , etc.) and some very attractive men.  So I put it on the back-burner.  Then over the weekend I began watching.  And watching and watching until I was caught up about 48 hours later.  Here's the deal.

Castle - Puppy Love

To anyone that may be catching up on castle and doesn't want details about new episodes stop reading here. This means you Sarah!  Everyone else onward!

Castle took a little happier spin this week but it didn't back down on anything, especially the UST (unrequited sexual tension) and STD (Sexual Tension Dimension).  The episode featured a look into the Kardashian lifestyle with guest stars Hilary Burton (White Collar, One Tree Hill) and Justin Hartley (Smallville).  Burton plays Kay Cappuccio the Kardashian of the story and Hartley her boyfriend.  Meanwhile Castle and Beckett got some time to share custody over . . . a dog.  Royal was the victim's pet and when he died there were no relatives to take dog in so Beckett and Castle learned to share.

It's a Smash!

This February NBC begins a new television show and they've released the Pilot early for free on iTunes (and watch-series and so on and so forth).  I of course had to see what kind of show this was going to be.  After watching the pilot I see a LOT of potential.  We have a cast and crew that is chalk full of awards from Oscars to Grammys.  It get's me to thinking maybe they have a chance.

Beginning with crew we have Executive producer Steven Spielberg.  He's sorta well-known in the movie world as being freaking awesome!  You can definitely tell he has a hand in this because of all the panache.  The dance scenes are extremely flashy and fun.  Still I don't think they overdo it, (Glee).  They will go back and forth from reality to the stage version but I think they show what it would actually look like in a Broadway show so it works.

Note Crazy Incredible Sexual-tension

Well just about all of you by this time have seen the latest episode of NCIS I suppose.  The last two episodes might as well have been a two parter at least on the personal lives front.  Between Special Agent Erica Jane Berrett and CIA agent Ray Cruz we've seen drama drama drama.  But for us Tiva fans (which by now should be all of you) a lot more has happened than just a couple past visitors showing up.  I don't know how I felt about this episode of NCIS let's first go over the things done well.
