Castle: Endure

We're almost there folks!  Yes it's that happy/sad/frustrating time of year when the spring finale's start taking place and we have to endure the long summer hiatus.  It's never fun and you have to rebound to your summer shows: You know the ones I mean.  The ones that you watch only to keep your TV side in line while you wait for the good stuff to come back in the fall.  Mine include things like, Rookie Blue, The Bachelorette, and So You Think You Can Dance.  BUT, before we get to the sadness and woe we get . . . the finales.  And if there is one finale that is being anticipated this season it is definitely Castle.  If you've been sticking around the world of Castle or Emily Landeen you know pretty much everything that's been going on but if you've been "hiding under a stupid rock" I'll give a quick recap (pictures included of course).

At the beginning of the season Beckett is shot in the chest and nearly dies.  Castle confesses his love to her as she is fading out of consciousness.

She of course survives but is quite shaken.  As Castle visits her she tells him she remembers nothing of the event.  Castle is heartbroken but says nothing of the event.

Beckett has zero contact with Castle for a few months and randomly shows back up.  He's at first angry for not calling but caves once he finds out that she and her boyfriend have broken up.

They talk about how she has this wall inside her and she's not going to be able to have the kind of relationship she wants until her mother's murder is solved.

As Castle and Beckett delve deeper into her Mother's murder a man contacts Castle saying that if Beckett keeps searching she will most certainly die.

Castle wanting what is best for Beckett convinces her to let it go . . . for now.  She does not know the true reason but trusts Castle.

Castle dates a bit but is content with waiting for Beckett

Beckett begins to really work through her issues with her therapist
and Esposito.  Things begin to move forward until. . .

Episode "47 seconds" Castle watches an interrogation where Beckett, not knowing that Castle is watching, says she remembers everything about being shot.  EVERY SECOND!

Castle is heartbroken.  He talks to his mom saying how he feels like a fool.  He says he will continue working with her but give up on a future for them.

Beckett begins to notice this change in Castle.  She does not understand the reason behind it but decides (with the help of Lanie) that perhaps it's time to tell Castle how she feels.

As she gets ready to do so she sees Castle with a new bimbo.  She decides to hold off

When she asks him to talk he blows her off and says he has to go.  Beckett is starting to believe she waited too long.

So here we are.  Still Wondering what the heck is going to happen?  From places like PaleyFest we know that on a scale from 1 to 10 Caskett fans are going to find this season's finale a 12.  We know that we are at a very low point in the season.  Very very low but Andrew Marlowe has said Castle fans need to be patient.  He said it will be a satisfying season finale.  We know that Castle and Beckett are at the point where something needs to happen or fans will lose interest.  All this points to a grand season finale.  So if you are going to toon into that episode or just the episode in two weeks with "Firefly's" Adam Baldwin.  That is your update.  Enjoy the ride!
