In your extra time

Chanae came home from work and said that sometime we need to try out a tv series called The West Wing. Her boss had said that it would be something that I would enjoy. Saturday night Chanae gave me the choice to watch that or country strong. (We couldn't watch Alias because our friends have to watch it with us and they were out of town) So I started watching it. Cuddy was in the first episode, Vance was in the second, Burton Guster was in the third and is now a regular on the series, there is also the voice of Nala from Lion King, the principle from 10 Things I hate about You is also a regular, not to mention Martin Sheen. It was made by Democrats and they only mention abortion once and haven't even brought up gay marriage so it gives you more of a perspective on the beliefs of Democrats. The interesting thing is that the first season was made in 2000 which is pre-9/11. It won some emmys for camera work and I can see why. They will have entire scenes without any cuts. Just a steady-cam following the actors. The dialogue is fast and pretty good. Kind of like a political Gilmore Girls. You also get some education about how the government works. Anyway if you have some spare time give it a shot.

And in response to Emily's inquiry about if it has a love story. It most definitely does. One character's old girlfriend who he incessantly fights with joins the white house staff. There is also a story between the speech writer and his bosses daughter though he also might have something with Cuddy. Now I have only watched 8 episodes and I am starting to see these relationships form. There also might be a thing with Guss and the president's daughter. Anyway, watch it and tell me who is supposed to belong together.
